- Vinegar (white) - 1 quart
- Water - 3 quart
- Salt - 1 cup
- Bring this mixture to a full boil, until salt is dissolved.
- While this mixture is cooling, put dill weed, garlic clove, and ½ or 1 hot pepper (according to taste) in bottoms of sterilized jars.
- Now add washed green tomatoes (whole, sliced, or quartered) uncooked.
- Pour the above mixture into jars and fill to top and then seal.
