Quick Crock Pot Pea Soup ala Grandma Mouri

Directions:
  1. Rinse 1 package split peas w/ cold water.
  2. Pour into crock pot & fill half way w/ H20, turn crock pot on high.
  3. Meanwhile, chop 5 pc. bacon & fry on med-low, rendering the fat.
  4. Add 1 chopped onion, 5 chopped celery stalks, & 6 chopped carrots & sauté until onions are transparent.
  5. Add to crock pot.
  6. Fill ~1 inch from top with water.
  7. Cook on high setting 1 hour, on low setting 3 hour.
  8. Season w/ salt.
  9. Lid off 1 hour.
  10. Serve w/ tabasco sauce.
